The riz au gras is traditional food in Mauritania, a state in western Africa. The food has become popular around the world, such as Mauritania and Senegal, and there are many different ways to prepare the recipe. The riz au gras usually is prepared for lunch or dinner. In some parts of Africa this would be considered unusual, even strange. However, these original food customs were passed from one generation to another. You can get the riz au gras in an African restaurant or in a French restaurant. It is very special to me because the recipe is made with vegetables. When I eat the recipe I feel very happy. Also, you can eat the recipe any day you’re ready to eat.

First, remove the peels from the vegetables. Then wash them. After that, cut the vegetables into small pieces. Second, put some oil in a large pot. When the oil is hot, put the salmon steak in the pan and add salt (a little bit). After 2 minutes, remove the other part. Then add all the pieces of vegetable in the pot.

After 3 minutes, mix it together with the garlic and celery. Add salt and 1 ˝ cups of water. Then add the rice in the pot. Finally, make sure you are cooking at high heat for 10 minutes. Then turn off the fire, and let the pot sit carefully.
