Chicken soup is a soup food from Punjab, in southern Pakistan.  It’s a kind of spicy soup.  There are in Punjab many people who like to cook it.  It’s very easy to make if you take your time.  You can get it in any restaurant. 

You can drink it when you want, it’s usually served for breakfast and lunch.  I like to cook it because it reminds me of my uncle Asif Malik, because he sells chicken soup there in the city hotel.

 



1 red onion
2 lbs chicken
1/2 tbs salt
1 tbs garlic in small pieces
1/2 tbs black pepper powder
garam masala
green beans

First, take 2 pounds chicken.  Next put 2 liters water in the large heavy pot.  Take the chicken and onion, and put them in the water.  After that, mix 1 tbs garlic, black pepper and ½ tbs salt in a plate and  add it to the pot with the chicken and onion.

After you have let the chicken boil a little bit use a soup spoon and mix it together.  Then cover the pot with a lid.

Finally, set your stove on high heat, and add 1 cup green beans and garam masala.  After boiling them for 2 hours, carefully ladle the chicken soup out into the jug.
